The city began as a small agricultural property, built in the early 1860's, by the couple Antônio Dantas de Maria and Hermínia Maria da Conceição. In Carnaúba dos Dantas, the musician Tonheca Dantas was born, one of the most expressive names in the artistic history of Rio Grande do Norte. His work is vast and enriched by the beauty of the melody in his marches, compositions and valses, one of which is called "Royal Cinema".Visit the Fazenda Carnaúba de Baixo - an agricultural property that offers horseback riding, trails with interpretation of primitive paintings and minerals. Meals based on organic food, manufactured at the property itself.
